I don't play tabletop 5e, or any tabletop for that matter. But I'd say I know the rules for it surprisingly well after having played BG3... and having been subjected to constant complaints about the differences, lol.
I'd say those who prefer their pnp version of the game have expressed themselves more than adequately.
