What do you think of this theory?

Definitely something that's already been mooted. I can't find the relevant speculation thread right now, but someone else might remember what it was.

Tbh, I was sure, Durge is a child of Bhaal.

Follow, and recieve the gifts you are owed by the blood in your veins.
It's possible, Bhaal is.. quasi-mortal now, so maybe he went around and did the same thing again. I suspect it's a little Different for Durge, but very similar. Between all the media we've seen, he is always surrounded by Bhaal symbols and gets a unique Bhaal-ish item; so there is definitely a connection.
Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

The dark urge is definitely tied to Bhaal in some way. Either an Avatar of Bhaal, new spawn of bhaal, etc. But then again, there is also Orin, who seems to be in a similar spot as the Dark Urge. Whatever the case may be both have some kind of connection to Bhaal. Maybe Orin and the Dark Urge could be BFFs?

Well that is a reason to play Dark Urge, you can maybe romance Orin and make little Baal Spawn Spawn...

One problem is that the semi canon dark urge is a dragonborn. If we ignore the (infertile) transformed humans for a moment dragonborn only appeared during the spellplague at which point Bhaal was already dead. So whatever connection the Urge has to Bhaal had to be created after Bhaals rebirth which was 10 years before the game. Its more likely that the dark urge is Bhaal with amnesia.

Something Bhaal related, that’s for sure, I don’t think it is the same as BG1&2.

If this is Bhaal with amensia, he should have a divine rank and a very high power at the start of the game, which obviously will not happen = This is not Bhaal

So if the Dark Urge is Bhaal himself I believe he will get insanely powerful with certain builds.

So I guess the Urge is really him and the goblin is (the avatar of) one of the other 2 deities of their little murder club tryiung to get him back on track.

Doubtful...the notion that any of the dead three would go to great lengths to save another is kind of nonsense...these three tried to kill each other to avoid having to share power. If one was vulnerable the other two would sooner try to kill than help.

If this is Bhaal with amensia, he should have a divine rank and a very high power at the start of the game, which obviously will not happen = This is not Bhaal That's is true of most Origins and companions (and monsters we encounter). I think we can safely assume that representing character's status through their powerlevel just isn't a thing in BG3.

Except the Dark Urge was active 15 years before the game. I'd guess a powerful follower that Bhaal is now using to collect energy and followers. Durge may even be part of the plot to bring him back in the first place.
Back from timeout.

No, I believe that Tav is a Genuine Bhaalspawn related to Charname/Abdel Adrian, while Durge is an artificially created one with Bhaal's soul, I'd say Durge is more like a Clone of Bhaal rather than a Child of Bhaal.
