To the OP your welcome to your own opinion offcourse, but Id strongly disagree, most NPCS are not jerks, and many who are can become non jerks depending what you do.
Like several pppl who have commented here, I prefer stand offish npcs to npcs who fawn over me just because Im the main protagonist.
