He thanked me for "having freed him from Glorbo".

====

Yes you have read this right, adventurers, Glorbo is having all the small creature put under his spell using some kind of enchanted rings.

I won't spoil this from you but let it be known that the quest line is actually rather long, and although there are some back and forth with the druid covenant that felt a little cumbersome (fetch ten of these and twenty of that so we can chant this ritual), all in all the writing is what compelled me to push on: I really wanted to free those animals, and redeem myself from those kills I could not avoid.

The outcome of the quest line surprised me big time, and it felt rewarding to have pushed though.

BEGIN SPOILER
you see you don't defeat Glorbo, you in fact free him, and you can offer him to come along with you on your adventures.
Yes, we can get a pet companion at the end of the questl ine, if we play your dice right. And although my dwarf was first enraged against Glorbo, him (or is it her, I could never tell) becoming a companion felt just perfect.
And I'm prety sure that once the game releases on August 3rd, down the line in act2 or act3 we will get to confront the dark mage who enthralled Glorbo in the first place.
END SPOILER

THANK YOU Larian Studio writing team, and art department for including Glorbo in the story, kudos to the voice acting, and can we please get to download the Glorbo theme as an mp3?

So to start the quest line: you need to talk to the squirrel in base camp during act1. (my encounter was during day time)

Thanks Again Larian Studio great story line, I am so hyped to see where it goes !
