Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Is there chat in the multiplayer?

Is there a chat function in the multiplayer of this game? My friend wants me to get it to play with him but I wanted to make sure we'll have a way to communicate in the game. I prefer not to use voice chat on discord because I think it would distract me from the story.
