Since release version of BG3 will connect stats with classes and not races (what is a super change) - can i expect to multiclass into 20 all or does it only count for first class chosen?
The ASI you get at the start of the game are a one time only...if you then go to multiclass into a new class every level you don't keep getting +2 and +1 every time, that's not how it works.

Also saying the ASIs are tied to class is a missunderstanding. It's more like every race gets unattached +2 and +1 that you are free to assign wherever you want. The game may detect your class and auto attach them where it thinks they make sense but you are free to move them around and they are not really a class bonus...they are still a race bonus but all races get identical ASIs and the game's propensity to initially attach them where it makes sense gives the wrong impression that they are a class bonus.
