The Ranger side may be interpreted as representing a Mielikki Cleric - IMO Rangers get their Clerical spells from following more nature attuned Deities and/or Druidic superstitions.
BTW - if I go goodish Drow/Half-Drow, I'm, going Fighter->6 lvls of (Sword) Bard to represent an Elistraee devotee. My explanation is that her spells come from the Dark Maiden.
I've no idea of lvls above 7/8 - I'll decide when I get there. There is a lot about the game which we do not know.
