Who is Erica? Someone should tell Niara that her account may have been hacked by a real person.

Stepping back is a good thing every once in a while. Argyle has done so in the past.

I have also wondered whether anything on these forums has led to a game change. For comparison, the Bioware developer team was very active in their forums, and I know there were many exchanges which affected both BG I & II, and maybe some even extended into Dragon Age (like the Mad Hermit, eh?). The foundation of D&D has always been built on community contribution ... that's why so many people got mad at Gygax for hogging all the book rights.

Here on the Larian forums it sometimes feels more like a one-way mirror. We do have very good Moderators, and we get the news feeds, but there are very few instances of interactive discussions with the development or writing team members. So who really knows if anything here on the forums has inspired a story line, or changed a combat mechanism, or opened an adventure to the fabled City of Brass? Ah well, walk gladly in the Mists of the Unknowing, for it is a journey that never ends.
