I'm not sure if this is an oversight, a bug or intended but there is no way to use the warlock spell slot over a paladin one to smite when you multi-class with paladin/warlock. When you finally run out of paladin slots but still have warlock slots left the window will show you a red square(no spell slots left) but will allow you to click on it and spend the warlock slots.

This is not ideal since I want to use the warlock slots first because they come back on short rests. Perhaps there should be an option to use either paladin or warlock slots in the reaction window or add a toggle in the reaction settings to use warlock slots first. The major point of going paladin/warlock for me is to be able to use those short rest slots first especially because my friends are all short rest classes except me.

"I can confirm this. I wanted to play a sorcerer warlock. However, I can only use the sorcerer's spells with his slots until they are empty, and vice versa. Interestingly, when I click on the slots themselves, all spells are shown to me. For me, this is definitely a bug. According to DnD, you should be able to use the warlock's slots for all other abilities as well."

Update Email from support: Hello again! Checking the report it looks like the team has recently finished investigating this issue and the system will remain largely the same. I know it's not ideal for multiclassing, but the team left a note that not being able to choose which spell slots to use is part of the intended design. There may be some aspects that will be patched due to being bugs, but overall a major change isn't expected in the near future.
