Hello there,
If anyone from Larian Support reads this that would be great as this is getting annoying and frustrating. I bought the game on 7/26/23 on GOG. So it was before the end of EA. Also the news that EA buyers will get the DDE upgrade for free influenced the purchase of your Game.
What happened now is that there was no free DDE upgrade. There is also a thread on GOG, Twitter and Discord where frustrated buyers post their frustration because many people are getting it for free and others have to buy it. Tickets created on GOG will be deleted immediately, no statement as to when the issue will be solved. No communication from GOG
I don't know how much influence Larian has there, but that's not the way to treat customers.
So I'm asking for a possible explanation and solution from Larian

Same here, very frustrating!
It absolutely sucks when you get less than expected from something you were quite hyped for...so far I just got through char creation and then stopped, it was just too annoying for me knowing this and especially how poorly und unprofessional GoG handles it.

I also got it on GOG in 2020 and have not gotten my digital deluxe edition upgrade. And GOG ticket system has been automatically flagging each request as solved immediately after putting in ticket. I would love to have this fixed as well.

So when you go into Galaxy and configure your installation then your DLC tab doesn't have the BG3 - DDE content option?

Asking as someone who bought the game on GOG pretty much on day 1 and who did get the DDE content.

My DLC tab is empty. And yes, I purchased it on day 1 or almost on day 1, logged 100h in early access.

Yes. Some people got the upgrade, some didn't. What is that and GOG is silent. They constantly point out where the items can be found in the camp and act like we are too stupid to understand the situation.
Tickets to the support are therefore also ignored.

Come on! Everybody knows how shitty CD Project is, political aligned and turned away from the huge part of their player base. Had to buy the BG3 on GOG since there is no other option for me to support the BG3 project at early state of development. CD Project is in my personal black list. Hell with them. Dude, just - let it go. Enjoy the game. Personally, yes this is sad, nevertheless BG3 is the great game so no need to get frustrated.

Isn't GOG a subsidiary of CD Project Red? I mean, they might not want let's say 10 or 15% get it for free. Or the support is absolutely incompetent. I never thought I would get involved in something where customers are obviously being ripped off and completely taken for a fool and ignored at the same time.
Basically you're right @Gagamut, but Larian promised that we should get it for free when we bought the EA and GOG can't pretend.
In retrospect, the game can also be played without a few cosmetically irrelevant things

i have mine from Gog

I received mine. It downloaded as a separate download I think because when I downloaded on 8/3, I had the 122 GB file and then immediately thereafter another smaller file downloaded and installed as well. Did you check your Galaxy downloads? Is there anything waiting? That may have been an opening day patch but I thought it might be the items.


Did you check in your camp in the traveller’s chest for the items? did you check the dice screen for the dice skin?

I ask those questions because I thought I didn’t get it either, until I googled and discovered that the items were in a traveller’s chest in camp, and the dice skin is in the dice roll screen on the bottom left to change it. I’d check those areas if you haven’t already.

Oh man. If those Items where in our Traveler chest, which i've checked directly when i could enter my Camp i wouldnt write here. That free Upgrade was not downloaded and there is no active DLC in my Gamemenu on GOG. Neither appears it in the downloaded files which i can see in my Installtion History.

Can be closed- GOG fixed it and i'l get the Update today
