Is Shadow Heart a Hypocrite?

Let me clarify and plz, no Spoilers. I'm still at the beginning.

From the get-go, Shadow Heart doesn't trust a Gith. Fine, it isn't like they have a Goody Two Shoes reputation. But strength in number and all that, right?

So off we go adventuring together and my MC and Shadow Heart end up alone. Shadow claim that the Gith ditched us (No idea how she came up with that, personally I thought maybe she just landed elsewhere).

The whole time Shadow is all 'Don't trust her, she doesn't care about you. She thinks your kindness is weakness' yada yada...

Then BAM! Shadow come out as a Lesbian! (Buahaha Joking), a follower of Shar.

And give me the whole 'I'm just being practical Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??? Look, Lady, the Gith is upfront and here you are pointing an accusatory finger at her every single time. And you were hiding that you are a follower of Shar?

I personally don't care, unless she was a psycho bend on sacrifiying my butt on an Altar...

But doesn't that make her a Hypocrite??

You're asking if a cleric of a goddess that likes secrets is a hypocrite for keeping secrets?

Not really.

The hypocrisy I feel comes from how she won't stop pointing a finger at Lazel.

She can keep her secrets. Everyone is entitled to keep their secrets. But going out of your way, to point a finger at someone at every turn...while the accuser's hands aren't clean either....that's hypocrisy to me.

i do think she has a right to be secretive and cautious. You never know who you can trust after all

I don't think so. Hypocrisy implies she believes this to be true on at least some level and isn't just manipulating you. She doesn't care about Tav at this point, only her survival

Again, as I said: She can keep her secrets.

Trying my best not to spoil anything but based on my interaction with her, she isn't as bad as your may think. She also doesn't have her full memories. She does have a secret that has to do with the item she carries which also has something to do with the Gith. When you do Lae'zel's mission to go to the Gith camp, you'll find a reveal.

As for Shadowheart's personality, based on your decisions seems like she can be your best friend, also depends how you treat her. She does act like a cleric that always worries about your safety, which I do like.
