OP Namea apprentice Joined: Nov 2015 Location: Nashville, TN	So, I have the dang creepy book, I have the amethyst. Whenever I try to read it there's no option to give it to anyone, just read, destroy, or put back. I'm in Act 2 and I haven't gotten to the towers yet, exploring a bit more first after doing the inn quests and healing the tranced fist. For Astarion: I've had the conversation where you copy his scars onto the ground for him to look at and we seem chummy enough. For Gale: He's had the "Oh hey, you need to suicide bomb yourself" conversation and is no longer asking for enchanted items to munch on. I had the weave scene with him early on and he's also stopped me after combat and basically said he wants to go to bone town with me. I got the book and amethyst before any of this though and slotted the stone into it. Did I miss something? "You either die the hero or live to see yourself brought back in the sequel as an angsty magical terrorist." -Serious brownie points if you get the character to whom I am referring.-

ldo58 old hand Joined: Oct 2020	Same here. I have the book and the amethyst. But I can't put them together. I don't recall any difficulty to do this in EA. I think that if you had the two, it presented a menu to combine them. But now, I can't find a way.

Silver/ old hand S Joined: Jan 2023	If it's bugged, have you tried enticing Astarion to steal it (if that still works) by putting it in his inventory for long enough? I'm not sure how that went exactly

At that point Astarion wants it if he's in your party. Can you do that?
