Can confirm this was happening with me as well.
After the hotfix today, I tried it again and instead of getting 150 back, every party member got 120 gold (480 total) for a net return of +180.
Not exactly correct, but maybe 480 is the best you're gonna get out of some goblins who didn't want to pay up in the first place.
Good enough of a fix for me, gonna continue my playthrough now!
