Why is there none?

Why does Tactician difficulty must have stat bloat (which I absolutely loathe), and why can't Balanced difficulty have Smarter AI?

I would love to see a "Enemies Use Smart AI" box that you can tick if you want to use Smart AI in the difficulty select menu at the beginning of a new game.

They also have additional abilities in Tactician and the AI to utilize them.

Also I would want a higher difficulty, Tactician is a little too easy.

I would love a higher than tactician difficulty, right now I'm breezing through my tactician playthrough.

I'm not sure how they would really implement this though, because I don't want Health sponge difficulty.

I really dislike how Tactician gives enemies +2 attack, DC's and HP bloat. And even more of those stupid AoE arrows and bombs that are everywhere in Faerun now. The rules should be the same for everyone. It's not fun when your heroes feel inferior to everyone stat-wise.

Why can't they just add more enemies? Place four more archers in the encounter on hard to reach vantage points! Give them a Cleric for support or Wizard who can go all out in a single fight. Remove stuff like the scroll use ability from classes that aren't supposed to have it in the first place. Restrict Long Rest so the difficulty comes from having to manage your resources instead of going nova in every single encounter. It also gets boring. Use reduced distances for Shoving and pushing so you can't just camp on high ground and push the AI to their deaths.

I had to go down to Balanced and play with only 3 characters to get some kind of enjoyable challenge. But I'd rather have one more character in the party, not less.

Also, why does a standard Flaming Fist soldier have 21 Strength or Dexterity, Human Slaying Arrows and Entangling Shot on Balanced? Primal magic is now a part of Flaming Fist basic training? How do they all have 21 Strength when Karlach, the legendary infernal rage general from Hell, only has 18 and PC's can't even get above 20? Instead, how about adding 6 or 12, or however many it takes, more soldiers, and lowering their level and especially their main stats to around 14 or 16? Narrative is constantly underlining how legendary and amazing these PC characters are, and then game mechanics tell you that they actually suck compared to an ordinary soldier.
