I'm at a loss. I searched all the sewers, I don’t understand how to get to the location with the final boss.

There are no crossings in the Temple of Baal area, or did I not look well?

I was sure that I needed to get to the Upper City, and climb into the sewers there. But the Upper City is inaccessible, the gates that lead to it are closed.

Your Protector clearly states that the Elder BRain is in the upper city. I'm not there yet, so haven't gone there.

And how to get to the upper city? The gates that lead to this location are closed.

Like I said, I'm not quite there yet. I suspect there is *something* or other to do here to make that happen. There might still be another way, even. I missed out entirely on a region which meant I stumbled into other quests without realizing it - and not at the beginning of them.
