I don't know if I missed something or if there's no option for a free camera but the game is very scenic and I'd like to be able to take screenshots from angles that aren't just side to side. being able to pitch up and down too would be great (not birds eye like combat though lol).

Completely hiding the UI for screenshots would also be nice. I know you can F10 (on PC) but it doesn't entirely hide all UI elements - the circles under the party's feet for example. Kind of ruins the vibe of a screenshot.

Bonus suggestion, the game is sorely missing character emotes, even basic ones like waving/sitting that would help spice up multiplayer games and (you guessed it) screenshots.

I enjoy a roleplay heavy time and I have a lot of fun generating visuals for my roleplay, so scenic/party screenshots with emoting characters doing more than just standin' around would be rad. without circles under their feet, and from an angle other than eyelevel. lol

@reptaurs and @matagot if you haven't already perhaps you would like to lend support to my post (see link below) about this as I am hoping someone at Larian may see it and add a photo mode in a future update.

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.

IF I can only just zoom in further and please, just let me look up a little - it'd be fine.,

there is a mod on nexus, can only recommend it personally, tried it myself, no idea it's funny and sad in one that laria brings nothing but absolutely nothing to the series here, and i'm sorry but that's the way it is.
As mentioned, I tested the mod myself for a few hours in some areas, I didn't find a serious error or what I could say it's bad or it destroys the flow of the game, you don't have to overdo the settings, but alone that you can turn in all directions shows how bad laria is here. worked it works perfectly .

What is particularly annoying about the normal laria camera management is that you have to press a W A S D key on the keyboard every time so that the mouse control works again and that with every character change even in winding areas it gets stuck that you have to press W again, just cheap just bad .

We need more camera zoom and options (in particular ZOOM OUT) for the players who like pure isometric 3D view like original BG1-2 instead of DOS1-DOS2 camera view.

BG3 has the same issue.

Please solve them, players on Geforce Now or Boosteroid or any other cloud streaming service cannot install MOD.

I'll just repeat here what I wrote in another thread on the same topic. Since the game is fully 3D with an awesome world you can see in the distance - the way it tilts down when you zoom close to the character kinda shows this off - there can be NO valid reason not to allow the player full control over vertical angle. So what if it means a lot of jittering due to collisions in some places - it is up to the player to manage his camera in that case. It works in pretty much all other games, it would work in BG3.

I kinda suspect the restrictive camera is an inheritance from the old 2D predecessors, but it is stupid nonetheless. Anyone else remember when Neverwinter Nights was released and everyone complained about the camera, a mod came along giving free camera, and some time later the game had free camera as vanilla? I'm hoping the same thing happens here.
