I'm going to start a 4 person multiplayer game soon. As we each have PC's with varying performance, I wondered if the specifications of the CPU, of the host's PC matter.
I imagine the AI mob behaviour, particularly during combat, only needs to run on the host's PC. I've noticed for my PC it can take some time for mobs to execute their moves, which I am assuming is because my processor is still working them out.
If so, it seems beneficial that the person with the best CPU specs acts as Host, and this might even reduce the load on connecting player's PC.
Does anyone know if this matters?
Thanks!
