All in the title, there are many books but it's difficult to know which one we have already read and should pick.

Hoped this would already be in full release. Personally I remember visually which book I read, but would be quite helpful and convenient to have the unread books marked, just like unopened containers and unlooted corpses currently are.

I put booms ive read in a backpack but irs konsa hard to see if zi got duplicates in there or not.

I'd like if the game just automatically had you read books you haven't read yet when you pick them up. I think it would be better if you could just pick them up like anything else then automatically open the read screen if you haven't read it yet. That saves some clicks. Part of the coding would necessarily mean the game knows which books have been read, so you could show that when you find a new book when hovering over it (e.g. "Book 1 (Unread)" or "Book 1 (You read this already)" or something like that).

It would be nice if when you picked up a new book, it got added to a permanent "bookshelf" tab within the Journal so you could check it out anytime. I've seen other games with such a feature (Genshin Impact comes to mind), and it frankly makes it easier to keep up with the setting's lore.
