As a devote necromancer in every game that I can, I have to say I was concerned about proper necromancy being implemented in BG3 after playing the Early Access. I am pleased to see that necromancy got some love in this game.
That being said, I have some QoL that I think would improve the game right now. Of course anyone is free to discuss or add other suggestions. So without further ado, here we go:
- CONTROLLER: ability to name/rename dials (wheels).
- CONTROLLER: There's no option to make the entire group go stealth when using a controller, only the character you're controlling at the time. Unless I'm missing something? EDIT: holding down the D-pad does this. So add it on the screen so people can know.
- CONTROLLER: no search field in the inventory (yes, even controller users need this in certain situations).
- CONTROLLER: better d-pad targetting. Currently it feels very slow and clunky.
- UI: ability to name/rename item containers in the inventory.
- ITEMS: 2-handed scythes (melee weapon type).
- DLC: instead of increasing level cap, add new origins for the sake of replayability, for me I'd love playing as Ketheric or Balthazar, but I'm sure others would love Minthara for example.
- DLC: new companions recruitment options, especially villains during the game, and even more if you play as the dark urge.
- GAMEPLAY: improved stealth and assassination options (especially for rogue/assassin).
- GAMEPLAY: ability to entirely disable romance in the game.
- GAMEPLAY: New game +
- GAMEPLAY: characters should earn experience points when successfully lockpicking, disabling traps, or after successful dice rolls.
- More realistic stance for spellcasters when holding a staff when in combat. Examples:

- ITEMS: at least one staff that looks like a scythe (for necromancers).
- ITEMS: transmog system.
- GAMEPLAY: ability to much better customize our camp during the game, or even better, have a house (not sure if I'm asking for too much here).
- CHARACTER CREATION: More face types when creating a character.
- GAMEPLAY: most domains for the cleric in 5e are missing, including both Death and Grave Domains that would fully enable a viable Necromancer healer/damage options (I'm mostly interested in these two, obviously.
- GAMEPLAY: Many other subclasses are missing in the game, but so far Larian has chosen mostly well to begin with. I hope the game gets expanded towards more subclasses in the future. Otherwise we'll have to rely on mods to do the thing.
- GAMEPLAY: I'd like alignment to be a thing and change during the game depending on your actions and dialogue choices, and have an impact in how other NPCs perceive you, depending on their alignment as well.
- CONTROLLER/UI: display companion approval with a bar/meter for controller UI instead of simply a word.
That's it for now. I'll update as I see more things.
Of course you're welcome to discuss or add new suggestions.
