Hello everyone, As it turns out, many of you were doing so much in Baldur’s Gate 3 that some of your personal ‘story’ databases (where your choices and actions are stored) got too big. We now made the size infinite (or at least as infinite as you have storage space), to account for the sheer amount of things you’re all doing on your journeys. As of today, we’re also reactivating cross-saves as we near our PlayStation 5 launch. Hotfix #3 is currently in the oven, and will include further fixes in the near future. Please reach out to our support team if you encounter any troubles on your journey through the Forgotten Realms. CHANGES- Fixed an issue with save games that could occur if a save file grew too large.
- Re-enabled Larian Cloud savegames.

@Salo, for those of us using the GOG offline installer and also have the digital deluxe edition, could you please confirm that it is enough to simply install the latest patch file or do we need to download and install the latest digital deluxe setup files as well for each new patch? Thanks a bunch!

i have not tested off line installers but can confirm install this patch resets all the ui so your Graphics will be pushed upto ultra and then of course a crash bound to happen on most laptops because your settings are beyond what the system can handle... your other settings like number of quicksaves, having karmic dice etc are all reset as well

When will we receive a response from Larian on the bugged romance pathways?
Some people are near locked out of romances when they shouldn't be. Some are not getting scenes they should when a companion is romanced. Others yet are hounded by companions who don't understand "no!". Halsin and Gale are too easy to accidentally romance with vague dialogue. Niche bugs run rampant, such as all companions deciding they're romanced and breaking up with a player on the same day. Others can't find anyone interested in them despite very high approval. The whole system is broken for perhaps half the playerbase.
Some people, including myself, are starting to believe Larian does not take sexual harrassment as seriously as they should. Even a vague "We're looking into it" could work wonders. The longer Larian is silent, the angrier people seem to get.

Folks wishing for instant gratification should realize complaining on the forums won't help unless they submit game files directly to Larian support to help find some commonality between who's having a problem and who isn't. Even then, I'm pretty sure it will take months to debug.

I am asking for a hot fix that introduces the option in menu to disable specific romances. That fixes the bugs and the poor programming choices which result in sexual harrassment. This is needed because the problem does not only arrive as a consequence of bugged pathing. Reworking the romance system adequately could take months or be done never. I'm asking for something that can be done in a week, even if it's a bit clunky.

Pretty the amount of coding needed to achieve what you're asking for is substantial but at least you've put forth a cogent idea. And again, just posting on the forums won't get this done unless people directly contact to Larian support. Easiest solution is not play until there is a fix. By the way, this isn't an easy recommendation; I realize some folks (like me) have been looking forward to a BG2 follow up for very, very long time.

The longer Larian is silent, the angrier people seem to get. That would be great, if romances could be fixed. I already submitted feedback on that via the contact side. I'm pretty sure though, that they are working on it. As someone said, the game is fresh out and I guess, this takes a bit of time

All they need is a Romance Tag akin to the Abilty Check tags for skill checks. That way anyone can easily skip or dive into the Romance Options.

I've seen a lot, but gatekeeping sexual harrassment is a new one. Especially coupled with that condescending tone. I love when I meet someone new and I can't tell if they're attempting to talk down on me because they think I'm a woman or a man.

You're not being victimized, you're choosing to play a video game that has some bugs right now with the romances. There isn't some malicious programming behind the scenes that is saying "eh he heh, I'm going to force my romantic dialogue on these players". "gatekeeping sexual harassment" holy. Touch grass is a term I hate, but it is absolutely valid here.

Additionally, describe how I am wronging a fictional character by... What, actually? Exaggerating, in your book? This seems like such an utter non-problem to me, I can't quite see what might bother someone so much about it.

Okay folks, let's take it down a notch.
No-one should be telling anyone else how to feel so let's not do that. But it's also only fair to other forum members to keep things friendly and not get overheated. I'd recommend that anyone who does feel so strongly about an issue that they don't feel willing to talk calmly about it with other people here, perhaps might be better off sending their feedback directly to Larian. By posting here, remember you are inviting discussion and debate, and that may not be what you or anyone else wants if you are angry.
"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
