Tbh I really doubt that they will work with Paizo. I believe that their goal is to work with WotC, maybe it's even a part of their agreement.
Owlcats done a great job with Pathfinder, love this game but as for Larian, I think they will prioritise D&D titles anyway, cause it's classic and beloved by many.

And yet WorC has a hirrible track recird with digital products and is already cancelling a lot of their planned games while Larian more than once hinted at their dissatisfaction with D&D rules.

And that's the reason why WotC want Larian to make more successful D&D games and development of classic titles is the best choice to draw more interest for D&D...which means more money for future projects, if it's trully so, than I think Larian is happy to work further with D&D titles...not to mention that working on a classic titles is more satisfying.

I suspect we’ll get little free gift bag DLC’s introducing new subclasses but nothing major added such as new characters or races that would require additional voice acting. I definitely don’t see a story expansion happening.

I do believe in about a year we’ll get a definitive edition released fleshing out the non-origin companions, endings (I’ve not reached there yet but hear it could use some additional closure for companions), tweaked mechanics and maybe even the artificer class.

Personally I don’t want an expansion but would rather the efforts were put into making a whole new D&D game expanding on the engine and assets developed for Baldur’s Gate 3.

I hope Larian keep making DND games. While their implementation of the ruleset were not exactly "purist" - it's close enough. And the quality of the game itself is better than anything we've seen since the olden days. If they want to do other things too, fine but I hope they do both. They've apparently grown a lot in size, so maybe they can have two games in their development pipeline. People will gladly pay for DLC's, and while no one wants to buy horse armor DLC's, it also seems like a huge missed opportunity for the company and consumers alike to have a perfectly good engine, ruleset and game - and then just leave it.

They are still busy developing hotfixes at least.
