I had the same problem with Original Sin 2, and I did indeed figure they would perhaps unintentionally make the same mistake again; I agree. It's as if they forget that players have the ability to form bonds with these characters and to throw their lot in with them.

Romanced character epilogue options should take inherent priority over non-romantic epilogue options for the player to choose if they decided to pursue a romance and players should absolutely have the option to stick with the character they chose to romance if otherwise feasible.

Perhaps if we get epilogue slides they could factor in choices like this. In Divinity Original Sin 2 it was presented as "I love you a lot and we had a great thing... well, bye!"
I also would like to see more future content for this game.
