The total number of players who chose Origin char as their starting one is 115,177. You also say that this is 7 per cent of the entire player base.
So the total number of players would be:
115,177 / 0.07 = 1,645,386
Obviously the 7% figure was rounded to the whole per cent, so the result can't be that precise. Let's say it's
1.65 million players overall.
How one would interpret such a number, well I suppose it's a matter of perspective.
This is much more than what you had with DOS2 - I believe it's been said that, with DOS2, 1 million copies were sold in the first 3 months after release.
So, congratulations to the company's owners for the nice hefty ROI. If anything, Swen knows how to make money, by the looks of it.
Will it stand the test of time? That remains to be seen.
