In this game, when a unit is affected by the Goaded debuff from a Goading Attack of a battle master, the goading debuff disappears at the START of the unit's turn. This means it never actually suffers the effect of having been goaded (AoO's notwithstanding). Is this supposed to be like this? It seems incredibly useless (again AoO's notwithstanding) and nonsensical this way. Shouldn't the goading debuff disappear at the END of their turn? Or, better yet, shouldn't it end at the start of the turn of the person who used the Goading Attack (which is the language I'm seeing for Goading Attack in 5e)???
I also notice this issue with a 1-turn debuff with the pet raven's blindness attack which only applies blindness for a single turn. Yes, at least with this you can attack a blinded unit with advantage, but like with goading attack, the unit never actually has to attack WHILE being blinded because the blindness wears off at the START of their turn. Again, shouldn't it last until the END of their turn or until the start of the debuffer's turn???
I think, though haven't confirmed this, that wild shape ravens do blindness for 2 turns. I imagine that what would happen there is they have to attack one turn while blinded, but not two turns while blinded because it'll disappear at the start of their 2nd turn. I think the spell blindness lasts a lot longer so that one doesn't really matter.
I also imagine this is the case for every other 1-turn debuff in the game. But I'm not sure.
