I did think it was a bit much when Withers commented on my PC being all alone! Though I kind of like the idea he might be a secret romantic, that would need to be fleshed out and made realistic in the rest of the game for his comment not to feel just odd.

Btw, mild Wyll romance spoilers below:
I've still not had any more characters hitting on me out of the blue in my playthrough, since Lae'zel in the early game. Though the penny seems finally to have dropped with Wyll who had been determinedly oblivious to some earlier mild flirting, and has now made some tentative overtures. It's mainly very chaste and slow burn at the moment, though he went over the top with the purple prose when my character asked what she meant to him so I wish I'd saved that particular option for later in the relationship. I've been keeping track of long rests, and it's only about two weeks in at the moment. Admittedly they've been very intense two weeks, but still feels a bit early for my character to be a song he wished he could hear forever or whatever. Though, unlike Withers, I guess I'm not really much of a romantic at heart so OTT speeches tend to make me cringe rather than swoon.

"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
