I think Larian needs to pay more attention to the paladin as it is the most popular class in the game at the moment. I decided to do a second playthrough as a good paladin, and I started having problems from the very beginning of the game.
When it was necessary to release Laezel from the cage. Why can't the main character just explain that this is our friend, and ask to release her, for the sake of goodness and light?
What's with the weird dialogue options?
- Leave her in a cage
- Let's get her down and kill her together, she's dangerous
- Release her, and I will personally kill her, and you run and save yourself (deception, paladin phrase - ??? wtf)
As a result, the roll on the paladin variant did not work for me. And I have a choice of two options: kill Laezel, or help her and become an oathbreaker, pay a fine of 1000 gold, and all that at the very start of the game.
At the same time, the option to kill Laezel should obviously also violate the oath.
