Played games with d&d 3.5 and pathfinder in it but in BG 3 it seems that the amount of spell slots is very low. Only four lvl 1 spell slots while my char reached lvl 12!

Yes they did. But you get strong Cantrips that are relevant in combat without spending slots.

yes the cantrips are good. But i would prefer to have powerful spells. Will accept this change. But Larian should improve some spells in return.

The purpose of lowering the number of spell slots in 5e was precisely to limit the power of high level spellcasters. They're still powerful enough, it's good.

Control spells need to be un-nerfed in BG3 though.

I am not in general against the simplifications they did in D&D 5e but they took away many options in creating your char. So i still prefer the PF rules i got in WotR although there are many things i do not like to. Especially the buff orgies before hard fights. So like you suggested if they un-nerf some spells in BG3 i will be satisfied.

D&D 3rd ed was my favorite ruleset. 4 and 5 are D&D Lite.

Still love what they did with this game, with the exception of multiplayer. its a cluster...
