While the game is already an incredible experience, we have an opportunity to make it even better by ensuring that players with diverse colour vision deficiencies and visual impairments can fully enjoy the adventure too.

Proposed Enhancements for a More Inclusive Experience

Universal Color Picker: Let's make things easy. A universal colour picker would allow players to customize the game's colour scheme to match their individual needs. Whether you're colorblind or just want to tweak things to suit your preference, this would be a game-changer.

Thickness Slider: Sometimes, highlights just aren't visible enough. A thickness slider would enable players to easily distinguish characters' objects from scenery without taking away from the aesthetic.

Object Highlighting: Visual clutter can be overwhelming, especially for players with visual impairments. Adding an accessibility feature that highlights interactable objects and doors that are not explicitly hidden would streamline gameplay and alleviate frustration.

Expansion of the 'Keyhole' Effect: The 'keyhole' effect is used in many games with dense mapping, but it can be taken a step further. Allowing players to adjust the degree of this effect could significantly reduce visual overload, making navigation and combat more manageable.

i feel everything above would be essential changes to implement that would benefit the entire community of visually impaired players.

There are other improvements i could go into like higher contrast on your resource indicators or maybe a high contrast line crossing out the resource to make it easier to tell at a glance what you have available, using alt to highlight should be albe to be toggled not just for visually impaired also a more basic and two tone map without all the visual clutter could be very beneficial for those who find it hard to navigate visually the map/minimap. a toggleable two tone overhaul of the ui could be a stretch goal in this suggestion post.

it's essential to address the fact that normal colorblind accessibility options might not cover the needs of every player with colour and vision deficiencies. The three main types of colourblindness – protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia – each come with their unique challenges. we're not just addressing a specific issue – we're advocating for a game that caters to the diverse needs of every person with visual impairments.
