Personally, I think they're trying to place the focus on Shadowheart's pain and sorrow, so it's meant to feel awkward for the player character rather than romantic...but yeah, that would be a reasonable and very human option to have. At least giving her a hug in that moment.

Did you already finish the game? I'd like to know if we get anything in conversation about the relationship during the ending or epilogue. If you're still together or if she leaves, etc.

I understand it was meant to show her sorrow, but it feels really out of place to just look at my girlfriend while she's crying and not have an option to do anything at all. It's just wrong on so many levels. I'd understand if the option was missing in a friendship path, but romanced one is just... awful. And it's not just that one scene. We didn't even have any scene with her in Act 2 like every other companion had. Act 2 spoilers -
Of course she had her Nightsong quest, but still, no romance dialogues during those moments either

As for your question, yes, I finished the game last night. There's one very short scene with her after the ending. Ending spoilers about the scene:
Tav and SH stayed together, trying to find themselves some place to call home.

Thanks for the details!

It might not be much, frankly, but personally I'm glad the game acknowledges the relationship at the end.

For Act 2, it's true there wasn't any explicitly romantic scene (well, unless you find the flower and give it to her) because Shadowheart was more focused on her Shar-related personal quest...but I felt that, at least implicitly, the game did a pretty good job of portraying the tension and conflict within her, especially when it came to how those quest decisions could have an impact on the relationship.

All the same, I would appreciate an expansion of those conversations and maybe an extra scene or two for any "definitive edition" of BG3.

As far as I know, everyone can give her that flower, so it's not romance specific. Every companion has their personal quests and yet, they had some scenes in Act 2... except Shadowheart. I absolutely loved her character, her romances even though she had it less than other LIs, so don't get me wrong. I only wish devs could expand it at least a little, because right now I have flashbacks from Mass Effect where devs cared only about one or two romances and the rest was forgotten, giving the fans a middle finger.
