At the Githyanki Creshe, Lae'Zel sits on the dentist chair and gets a lobotomy.

Please adjust the gameplay message to explicitly inform the player that Lae'Zel just received massive, permanent, stat debuffs.

I'm not saying WARN the player, the writing is fine, just please let the player know very clearly that stat debuffs have just taken place.

The problem I have with this game design choice is that the stat debuffs are so well hidden.

First in her dump stats which are hard to notice, and then the actual debuffs are at the bottom of her character sheet which are REALLY hard to notice.

I DON'T have a problem with game choices having harsh consequences, what I do have a problem with is HIDING those consequences from the player, removing his choice of how to enjoy the game.

I didn't notice this happened to me until two days later, when I took Lae'Zel out for another spin, leveled her up and noticed that her hit points didn't match the leveling screen.

When I saw what happened finally and realized it was too late to go back and change this, because I had gone through half the Underdark already by then, I was very very sad.

When you decide to give the player a PERMANENT debuff to stats please tell the player very clearly that they have just received stat debuffs, please don't hide it at the bottom of the character sheet.

Having said that, please also allow the Greater Restoration spell to fix the stat debuffs, as would be conducive with the tabletop game.

As it stands, the player is not informed explicitly enough of the consequences of their actions and simultaneously has no recourse to fix it, this feels very very bad when you finally discover this later, after many hours of playing.

Thank you.

Regenerate might be a better spell for that?

I just realized we cant get regenerate, I think we are one or two levels short of it, probably because it would solve a lot of plot threads.

I agree on both points (making the debuff clearer and making it curable with the appropriate spell).
I noticed that the debuff happened almost by chance (which frankly led me to replay that part differently), but the chances to overlook the damage you just took in that scene is high.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

I never even noticed the debuff. Lae'zel is still hitting like a truck. I have to look more careful if my Lae'zel has debuffs and what they are. I did tell her to get out of there after successfully reading the mind of the doctor to see, that she is lying, so maybe, it isn't too bad.

I did that plot point and never noticed a debuff, I don't think she got one in my playthrough? or if she did it wore off quick?

Minthara is the best character and she NEEDS to be recruitable if you side with the grove!

Wait, under what circumstances does she get the debut? I was never able to convince her to get out of the chair, she went through the whole procedure I think until the chair just exploded. I can't recall.
