+1, IIRC this was a thing in DA:O and it was very much appreciated. Even in D&D, people pitch in with their ideas and opinions and conversations. I don't know how hard it would be implement, but I'd sure be happy if it were! smile

Larian could even add a dialogue toggle in the Options Menu to allow the player to decide the extent of the discussion, such as:

Companion Dialogue Toggle
* Standard: Random companion comments during discussion
* Extended: All companions comment during discussion

For people that want to minimize dialogue, they could choose "Standard" which would be the default setting as-is condition whereas players that want to experience the full extent of dialogue, they can choose "Extended."

I forgot I even made that thread. Guess I accepted the fact that nothing will change in that regard... eh.

Well, once again I am asking Larian to let us hear all of our companions' comments during the conversation.

I'm ALL for it, honestly. I really want to see everyone's opinion and the reloading only to get same companion triggered again gets tiring fast.

I'd also like to add, I miss it when companions used to chime in and add their own two cents to other companions in EA, not just to Tav - felt more engaging. It does happen at times but it's very rare and only with certain companions.

I've never played in EA, but companions talking to each other sounds amazing. That's some massive DOWNGRADE since it's not a thing anymore in a game except in one or two scripted scenes. And not just that, companions don't even interact with each other in the camp either. There's just this one scene with Shadowheart and Laz.

Larian still has a lot to learn when it comes to companions and interactions. Old BioWare was still miles ahead of current Larian when it comes to that stuff.

+1, honestly each time someone says something I expect everyone else in the party to say their own comment but they NEVER do. And it's always the companions I least want to hear from in certain conversations.

Well, that's just disgusting.

yeah, all the this adds to replayability, but chances are you are as likely to see the same comment as a different one and can replay the game a dozen times and still not see the lines you want to.

Minthara is the best character and she NEEDS to be recruitable if you side with the grove!
Also- I support the important thread in the suggestions: Let everyone in the Party Speak

At this point I'm reloading a conversation to hear everyone's opinion, which is really a crappy way to hear my companions.

I fully support this suggestion. I want it too.

+1 Totally agree with this great suggestion. I think it wouldn't be that hard to do, if all the companions' lines are in the game, why not give them all a chance to speak in turn? It would be much better that way. Unfortunately, not all players have the time to replay the game a large number of times, and even with multiple playthroughs some content is still missed. I'm playing with Astarion and Minthara right now, and I'm leaving the third place free to get more comments from them. But they can still overlap each other's lines. And while this way I ended up with more interesting Astarion lines than I did in the first playthrough, I still might not get all of them (I don't want to leave Minthara in the camp, she's interesting to me too). And the other companions and the ability to hear lines between them are all lost. In order to get all the comments of your favorite character, you have to play only with him. And so in the first playthrough I also regularly reloaded to hear Astarion's opinion on this or that. At times it was just annoying, you have to disconnect the group, take them aside before dialog, etc. I don't understand why this companion replica randomization is necessary and why limit the player's content at all.

+1 i really hope they address this in patch 8 as I have had multiple play thrus where even if I switch out companions I will have the same companion comment where as everyone else will remain quiet.

+1 I'd love this as an option. It's too annoying and time-consuming to have to switch out party members and/or reload. At the very least I hope a mod will be made available for this.

This is exactly what I flashed on, and a great example of how it can be done. +1.
