In my 2nd run I went to last light then straight to moonrise without meeting her (there's the option to ambush the drider with the harpers and take the lantern) and I wondered if that would break the game or not but luckily there are small cutscenes that take that into account.
I agree that both her and Nightsong seem very underdeveloped and you can definitely see the rewrites. Datamined nightsong was a completely different character and from what I've heard of her original lines she sounded a lot more interesting.

I too would be very worried that my daughter has falling head over heels for a pompous god-child. Isobel and Nightsong may end up in a situation similar to that of Gale and Mystra and it doesn't seem healthy in the slightest lol
