Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Suggestions & Feedback Savegame location move?

Hi there,

The savegame location for BG3 is in the hidden location %LOCALAPPDATA% \Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story
But the previous Divinity games were in the user area "\Documents\Larian Studios"

I am genuinely curious why the move? The user areas seems much more suitable for something like save games.

Can the location be changed as a user option from within the game without having to resort to sym-links etc.?
