Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Help Tips & Tricks Ability modifier shows on screen but not used in dice roll

Gale's Fire Bolt attack shows that he has +3 INT modifier and +2 Proficiency, and his dice roll (as shown in the combat log) uses these correctly as shown in the picture below. But when Shadowheart casts the same attack, even though the detail screen shows that she has +3 WIS and 2+ Proficiency, the dice roll only shows that +2 Proficiency was used. Why wasn't her +3 WIS used?
