No option to persuade, trick or threaten the children who robbed you. Actually, no option to even bring up that they robbed me.
Opening any of the chests or pouches here has the children lose reputation and flee to tattle to the guards about you (even if nobody saw you do it because you were sneaking. Why does this one area not adhere to the game's stealth mechanics?)
Can't seem to find my belongings at all (or honestly even know what was taken, have looted every chest in this cave, the quest hasn't been marked complete)
Supposedly after the children grass you up to the tieflings guarding the camp, you have no option but to fight your way out and kill them all.
Edit: So I'm learning that the quest is actually just bugged, the reason I can't bring up my stolen stuff to these children is (possibly) because they didn't actually take anything from me (despite the failed skill-check and cutscene showing me being robbed) and so there's no actual quest to resolve, despite it appearing in my journal?
That's almost as frustrating as Mol as a character.
Regardless, even if the quest did work, the only 'correct' option to resolve the quest being to promise to help steal the idol is stupid. (even if you can just lie and not actually do that)
People talked up BG3 as being 'the rpg that you can play like an actual tabletop rpg' but honestly I haven't seen that in evidence.
Where is the option to tell their parents? Or the druids? Give me an option to be completely unsympathetic to these thieving dirtbags.
Give me an option to remind them (or their parents) that they're stealing from a heavily armed adult who typically kills people for things like this.
Given the whole thing with the idol earlier in this questline, it feels like the adult Tieflings should be beating the fuck out of these kids just to get through their heads that stealing from adults has consequences, and that they should stop doing that before they get everyone killed.
Let me throw the child into the abyss.
TLDR: Give more options to resolve or even address this quest in the first place.
Including options to just beat the child until they give your stuff back.
