There are some spoilers here some people might consider more major, so I wouldn't recommend looking if you haven't beaten the game. It doesn't seem like you can do spoilers in spoiler tags, so sorry about that, but click at your own risk if you are still playing. Act II; I loved basically the whole thing. Getting the lantern from the spider guy was as horrifying as it was well-done (coming from someone deathly afraid of spiders), drinking with that one npc, defeating the surgeon without even needing to fight him, the temple, the gold monster.
Nightsong
Astarion and his whole deal; I loved his quest and more specific points that stood out to me are when you get to describe what he looks like to him, give him a hug, some of the fun things he gives you approval for, when he rants after Gortash tells you Orin is in your camp.
Karlach; she was such a fun character, everytime I spoke to her or she commented on what was happening around us, when you leave her at camp I thought it was so funny the way she responds
Lae'zel
Raphael; I didn't even kill him because by act III I felt like we had this sort of mutual respect thing going on for each other even though I knew he was full of crap, I just thought he was a really brilliant character
Orin; I loved how she just showed up around town when you first enter, and how she steals someone from your camp, and then she leaves you "gifts", it just feels so thought-out and like an active threat.
I liked the combat; I should say I don't and haven't played dnd, and while I play a lot of games, I wouldn't call myself someone who is good at them, but even on the difficulty I played on, it didn't feel like it was just handing me fights. Obviously for some it could be seen as ridiculously too easy, but there were times in the game I still had to sort of stop and think 'ok, how am I going to do this', whereas other games on easier difficulties can sometimes feel like you just can't lose, and they take you out of the stakes of the fight entirely because your party literally can't die. I liked that I couldn't just blast my way through everything, even as someone who I hightly doubt would be able to win *anything* on the highest difficulty.
I did really enjoy the main story too; I enjoyed the plot points of landing on the beach and treaking to Baldur's Gate and finally overcoming everything no matter how you choose to end it, I loved all the different and unique areas and the buldings, and this is a game that I expect to play many many many more times.
