If you explore everything in Act 2 it is very large. If you just do the main quest and skip everything else its small.

It’s also not true. I explored every inch of that map, and before Moonrise started at the perimeter, made the way around, and gradually moved toward the center looking for more content. I went in every cave and hole, opened every door, lock picked and broke into everything I could. Act 2 is SPARSE. I resolved every quest one could resolve in Act 2.
How many hours did it take you to complete each act?
I'm 22 hours into act 2 and barely finished it yet, act 1 takes about 30 hours on average?
Act 2 isn't just the shadow place, its gith creche as well, theres 2 maps for act 2, same as act 1, just that they're in different places.
