Leveling is too fast in BG3.
You should be 1-2 levels lower at all times. Hitting the level cap of 12 comes far too early in Act III.
I don't like that robbing merchants everywhere has no consequences. It feels more like a choice to take their stuff for free. Even if you don't get caught red handed, NPC's would start to notice when you wear stolen equipment.
