Yes, it is sad how Larian dropped the ball this close to the finish line. And not just dropped, they threw it on the ground and stomped on it.
The big cuts in act 3 are bad enough, but the biggest failure is the dumbing down of the story by removing any form of consequences, the biggest being the change from Daisy to Guardian and how there is no reason to not use tadpole powers and upgrades now.
Remember how Sven always danced around this subject during press releases and hinted that putting tadpoles into your head must have consequences?
All of that was fake.
