Having gone thru the game and completed it with the amazing companions that Larian created for us to use, is there still going to be an "official" way to do a custom party of all 4 created characters or is that not a thing anymore? Would like to go it again with a group of customs even if I miss out on some of the side quests that are offered. I know the workarounds to try and get it done and all, but I thought that was something that was going to be official supported at some point, or am I misremembering?
Unfortunately, Larian had a different idea what custom party is. Technically hirelings do let you play with a custom party in terms of classes, but that’s not what people want.
Furthermore, the last hotfix broke the unofficial method, and that is no longer available. All you can do is make two custom characters with split screen co-op if you have two controllers.
Larian has said that they are listening to feedback, and will be implementing many requested features in an upcoming patch. Hopefully 4 custom characters from the start is one of these things. They did eventually add this to DOS2, so chances are pretty good.
