I 100% agree, especially about Epilogue and using tadpoles.
I avoided them the whole game for nothing, I still got an ending I did not like, and did not get to have fun with my companions a last time before ending the adventure.
Act 1s epilogue and party scene is wonderful, it puzzles me that they did not do another for Act 3, when it feels like if anywhere it should be here.
I have not joined Minthara so I dunno about her however.
