I don't think this is about cut content. I think this is about the monastery blowing up if you retrieve the weapon the "wrong" way.
What would the wrong way be? I saw a note that indicated that something bad would happen if NOT one of “our own” tried tot ale it, so maybe that was the clue… but no one in my party would qualify as “their own”…
It’s a great game and I’m thoroughly enjoying myself, but it I’m seeing more and more seams showing, as it were.
