I did not do this fight in EA. First time I did it in release I had zero issues. Killed boss and made my first item, made 2nd item after he was dead. Second time I went through I was not getting a journal update when reaching the forge platform and I could not interact with the crucible mould chamber or lava wheel so I could not even get to the boss. Exiting the game and loading a save before reaching the forge platform fixed my issue.
