About tav there isnt anything deep because its already clear that it comes from project gustav bgs3 codename. For an avatar its not necessary. Tav is just like insert name here or hero. Your name is the canon one or headcanon however you wanna call it. With the bg2 lore its still very vague in modern days if it can be still considered canon because too many things didnt even make sense in the novel. Bg3 stays the players story at least when it comes to larian but they dont own the ip. If wotc touches this story and ruin it too i wont play any bg in the future for sure
