Moondruid's greatest multi-class options in 5e are Paladin, Barbarian, or Monk. All of which don't work in BG3.

Barbarian - You can't Barbarian Rage while in Wildshape and if you do so before you Wildshape you don't get the full benefits of it. As well you don't benefit from Unarmored Defense feature from the Barbarian despite not wearing armor.

Monk - You can't benefit from unarmored defense as mentioned with the Barbarian which makes no sense since you don't have armor and do not benefit from armor worn while wildshaped.

Paladin - You can't smite while in Wildshape. Smiting is not casting a spell. Why is this a thing? Smiting with this multi-class is the single best thing you can do with your spell slots while Wildshaped.

Concentration Spells - It isn't casting a spell to activate one you already have concentration on. Making Heat Metal not be activatable as an example in Wildshape further limits Moondruid.

Then in general the fact you don't benefit from basically any of your worn equipment passive magical benefits....even gloves that give an unarmored bonus as an example.

So if multi-classing is terrible for Moon Druid and you can't make meaningful upgrades with Equipment AND you can't use spells you already have concentration on (all of these things being things you can benefit from in traditional D&D 5e) then all you have is the base wildshape making it the single most limiting subclass in the game. This is disheartening as Larian did such a wonderful job with the Owlbear appearance.

Please Larian. Right this massive mistake before moving on to greener pastures of other games.

Moved to the Build Discussion subforum as I think it fits a bit better there.

I admit I am really disappointed that we still can't activate/move concentration spells while in wildshape as that was my biggest issue with the moon druid class in early access and is clearly a nerf compared to 5E rules.

I can only suggest reporting this and the other issues to Larian as bugs. Of course, if they're per design they might not get changed anyway, but if they receive enough complaints ...

How is this Build Discussion? I am not debating anything about builds. I am making a point and SUGGESTION to LARIAN about Wildshape and how it functions. I am not posting to discuss builds with other players. Please return this to where it belongs as it is a literal SUGGESTION which makes it fit in FEEDBACK/SUGGESTIONS

The new forum structure is being piloted and refined. I'm currently thinking that the Build Discussion subforum might be more useful if it's generically for discussion of the way classes and progression are implemented in the game, given that there's little discussion (at least at the moment) of different builds.

Still, I'm okay to move it back if you really want.

Though I should make clear that, while the Larian Community Management team keep an eye on the forums to see what we're talking about, ALL subforums here are principally for discussion with other players. As I mentioned in my post above, if you have feedback specifically for Larian then the best thing to do is use the "Report a Bug" feature on their launcher.

Polymorph overall in 5e is lame.
You are limited to beasts only. there are no better versions of polymorph on higher level, up until lvl-9 Shapechange. Which is entirely opposite to polymorph - entirely OP.

And BG3 did it even worse. Generally, it's not worth polymorphing other classes, since they cannot use their equipment while polymorphed. Ranger, Druid, Paladin... all those classes will perform much worse, unless for some bizarre reason they still had only basic gear on level-7+.
But it's still worth using polymorph on familiars/animal companions. Polymorphing those to T-Rex.
Except... in BG3 you can't. They brought only most lame version of polymorph - baleful polymorph, and not the one that let's you polymorph allies into something "better".
