Maybe there's a way to use the soap and I just haven't noticed it, so let me know if I've missed something. I have soap, and a sponge, and I'm even a wizard (so prestidigitation should be available). Are the Devs really saying I can't clean the blood off of my face and clothes? I can stand in a river, when there is one available. But in the underdark camp there is no accessible river (you just get to look at it, but can't stand there). WTF?
Either the Devs need to fess up about their psychopathic blood fetish, or maybe we could have a way to clean up?

Is that a suggestion, or are you saying we can already use the water flasks to clean with? That would be good, so I'll give it a try. Thanks. Hotfix 2.2 notes: > players may eat the soap now. ROTFL

This blood thing is starting to get a bit on my nerve. I have my paladin, full HP, newly bought armor dripping in blood. I know it's supposed to show the hardship, but at this point it's just blood for blood. And I'm stingy, no way I'll use water for that when I keep my flask handy if I catch fire (Noita fans will approve). So yeah, some changes please that at least full health removes this, or a way to just clean ourselves.

Just throw the water bottle on the ground so it can splash you

Yea water bottles. Because it NEVER rains, the sun never sets, and calendars are non existent in this &#%$& excuse of a Faerun world. You see, BG3 actually takes place in a Rivellon pocket plane which looks like Faerun but ACTS like Rivellon. Quite an amazing illusion.

It just reminded me of the bowl of goat's milk that old Winthrop used to put outside his door every evening for the dust demons. He said the dust demons could never resist goat's milk, and that they would always drink themselves into a stupor and then be too tired to enter his room..

Throwing a water flask over the party "washes" every character you hit. The spell "Create Water" is an obvious alternative, but also a waste of a spell slot.

I know you can use water to clean off characters, but that doesn't change the fact that apparently they can still get completely covered in blood (it soaked their hair? How?) after one battle, while killing people from range with fireballs and arrows.
Please Larian, we need the option to toggle this blood spatter feature off if we want to. Or even better, a slider for the intensity of it (with OFF at one end, please).

I absolutely HATE the dirt/blood accumulation system. I CANNOT believe that in the release version they didn't include the option to toggle it off. To all the people trying to argue that it is realistic to be covered in blood/gunk, I'll remind that it is a Fantasy game and there is nothing realistic here. I'm happy for you that you enjoy playing that way, but there is a large number of people who do not wish to look like they've been rolling in a pool of blood and dirt all the time... Bottles of water are out of question for my 8 strength character, I only have Astarion with me (and he doesn't have the capacity to carry much), the rain staff only good for 1 time per long rest and honestly I do not want to be troubled with cleaning myself every 2 minutes... I'd appreciate the option to turn off the dirt/blood completely.

I guess everyone skipped buying the create water staff in act 1 oops.

I'm getting flashbacks to early access. No save scumming in camp without your companions becoming covered in layers and LAYERS of dirt. Not enough charges on that staff to wash you clear of sin (even if you just wanted to explore conversation paths)

Oh, to have a hireling called "AQUA -- I MEAN WATERMAN" who does nothing but that

I don't recall weather making massive differences in the other baldurs gate games. Well, when it thunderstormed, you could get randomly hit by lightning. But that was about it. The real-time aspect just made it even funnier how narcoleptic the average Infinity Engine adventuring party was, what with the constant 8-hour power naps. It'd be cool if the game tracked days on a calendar and had different weather on different days after your Long Rests, but I do not miss the real-time day/night cycle that just made it feel like you had no time for anything before it got dark again.

![[Linked Image from snipboard.io]](https://snipboard.io/JDfb8F.jpg) This is really out of control, I have literally no more cutscene where my personage doesn't look like it's just out of a bloodbath (yeah, I have the scars, but still) Using water for me is a bit of an issue, water has an actual use in this game and it's not like it's an unlimited ressource. I tend to agree, either a toggle or a way to "easily" clean ourselves, like changing gear or whatever. The idea on paper was good, but it's really too much blood all the time.
