There are some boots and helmets that are considered armor, so that might be an issue for you.
With some items, I've noticed I have to unequip them then reequip them to get the bonuses to show properly. Not sure why.
Other than that, not sure. Just thought I'd offer the only two things that popped into my head when I read this.
