At the end of Act 1, Halsin comes with you to solve a problem. I'm on my second playthrough, and I've not found a single clue as to how to solve that problem. Halsin doesn't have any new lines from the Goblin Camp until the end of Act 2, when he stays behind - because I didn't solve it for him.
I'm not looking for the solution, just a hint as to where to start on this. I've been over all of the Act 2 region, it was lots of fun - But I want Halsin, dammit.
Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

Did you ... Find the ranting, unconsious Fist in the Last Light Inn, and then talk to Halsin in the camp?
I'll admit I was lucky I did, as if there was any specific clue that Halsin was the person to talk to to progress that quest I completely missed it. Though I suppose, in hindsight, he is the person in our party who knows most about the curse and the history of the area so it perhaps should have occurred to me.
"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"

I missed this one on my first playthrough as well. There is a NPC at Last Light in the beds to the right of the entrance, he's in a coma of sorts. Go talk to him, then Halsin. After this, you'll need an instrument that drops from the surgeon to wake him and the quest is fairly straightforward from there. It's super easy to miss the instrument.
There is a combat sequence where you have to defend a portal near the end, strongly recommend a lot of AoE damage for that one. Most of the mobs are really weak (like 1 hp) but they can do enough damage to the portal quickly if you let them get too close.

Maybe Halsin could use an exclamation mark to let people know he has new quest dialogue? I talked with Halsin in the Shadow Cursed Lands before reaching the sleeping man, and Halsin discussed the curse and Thaniel. When the sleeping man mentions Thaniel, there is a dialogue option about Halsin, and if you select it, the woman next to the sleeping man says to bring Halsin there.

I played a lute with my bard to get him to mumble the entire song after first talking at him.

I think I only figured it out after reading my journal entry. I hardly ever read those, but in this case, the tip about talking to Halsin was necessary. It didn't occur to me since I tend to run with a specific group.
