What would happen if I downloaded the latest patch of Divine Divinity when I am in the middle of the game. Would my game become corrupt or anything to that extent, or would it just continue on w/ a few modifications to it. Also is the patch all that stable?

MAKE SURE.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />..you backup your game first into a different folder...

then apply the patch ......and replace your savegame.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

RPG - which version are you playing now? 1.029, the original CD? Or did you already patch to 1.033? The latest patch is 1.034.

I am running the original patch the game came with. I was just curious because I read that there are points in the story on the original patch that break certain quests if you do a certain thing, and I didn't want that.

Your saves are not corrupted - but this patch will not fix quest bugs you've already encountered only those, you've not run into.
I'd follow Jurak's suggestion: Zip and back up your saves in a different partition or folder first and then install the patch - play a bit - then put your 1.029 save in it.
