Dark Urge does appear if you play regular Tav. He just failed the duel with Orin and got tortured to death. You see his naked corpse in her bedchamber after killing Orin.
There is the white dragonborn body you find there which some people think is the Dark Urge purely based on the similar appearance to the Dark urge shown in promotional material for the game but I don't think that's the dark urge and there are several other bodies there. I'm pretty sure that body is still there even if you are the dark urge which would make it completely impossible for it to be the dark urge. He might have been another bhaalspawn with similar urges, it's unclear, but he definitely wasn't *the* dark urge if his body is there when you're the dark urge. The origin character that is the dark urge is a vastly more important character to the plot defined by a lot more than being a bhaalspawn.
